Meet
Dr. Michael
Scalia

Bringing you the Science & Art of Dentistry

As a college student, Dr. Michael Scalia spent his time studying supply and demand, receiving a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.

In his mid-twenties, a desire to help people led him to investigate a career in health care. He attended the post-baccalaureate program for pre-health professionals at Rutgers University before deciding on a career in dentistry. He received his DDS from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine prior to serving as a General Practice Resident at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

When he realized he wanted the challenge of combining the scientific and artistic elements of dentistry, Dr. Scalia focused on training as a prosthodontist. He spent three years of highly specialized study as a prosthodontic resident at the University of Iowa. With a desire to be able to provide excellent surgical implant services, Dr. Scalia also studied and trained at Loma Linda University as a surgical implant fellow for one full year.

Extensive Education for
Optimal Treatment

Dr. Scalia participates in extensive continuing education, gaining more than 100 hours per year in subject areas including implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dentures, full mouth restorations, restorative dentistry, veneers, bone grafting, bonding, and digital dentistry. This additional training allows him to bring the most up-to-date expertise to his patients.

Dr. Scalia began serving the communities of Lawrenceville, Hamilton, and Ewing as a prosthodontist in 2012. He enjoys developing relationships with his patients while working with his hands to help them. Dr. Scalia loves knowing that his advanced skills allow him to help every patient who walks through the door, from the routine hygiene patient to the one with the most challenging dental health needs.

Outside of the Office

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Scalia spends his time playing tennis, going to exercise boot camp, and reading. He and his wife Angela also enjoy gardening, hiking, exploring cities, and enjoying food at new restaurants. He also loves to visit with family and friends.
